1- Business Partner (50%)
  • You work as the finance business partner for the business groups' trading directors, sourcing directors, commercial directors, product line managers and sales cluster leads. You will facilitate in managing risks and compliance, in particular those inherent to a trading business.
  • You will proactively engage and align the team with other functions and business groups to address customer focused and innovation based business objectives in areas of risk management, pricing, financing, contracts, sustainability, compliance etc.
  • You develop and coordinate goals & objectives, financial risk reconciliations, reports and margin analysis, including variance analysis and recommendations.
  • You will advise your business partners on financial implications of strategies, investments, business reviews, margin optimization, sustainability, customer profitability or risk management actions and decisions.
  • You analyse, evaluate and interpret trading forecasts and monthly results. You will inform management of trading results and signals unfavorable trends and variances.
  • You perform analysis of commodity and forex positions and results.
  • You contribute to system/process/cost saving improvements and initiatives to improve profitability.

You participate in ad hoc projects as required, business development initiatives such as new business and customer solution opportunities

2- Process improvement (20%)
  • You assess the current month-end process on efficiency and timeliness, work with other business groups on best practice sharing, initiate cooperation on finance activities with other business groups /enterprises in the office and facilitate the in/outsourcing of some of its re-occurring activities.
  • You hold yourself and others accountable for continuous improvement and delivering results. Implement systems to provide accurate, consistent and timely management information for business decisions which includes intercompany pricings, commodity position reporting and forex reporting.
  • You ensure that knowledge is maintained up to date of the ERP system, JDE One World.
  • You will be a strong advocate of the business excellence program in the organization by driving the implementation of recommended processes

3- Additional tasks (30%):
  • You ensure internal control systems that provide effective and efficient Financial Risk Management operations; reliable risk management reporting; and compliance with laws, regulations and corporate policies and minimums.
  • You keep close control over the large risks that appear in daily and month end closing processes of open contract valuation and commodity & currency positions reporting. This will include monitoring of new business transactions, realized and unrealized margins, trading P&L and foreign currency P&L.
  • You oversee relationships with sales, trade, product line management, contract desk and supply chain to ensure compliance with our contract, tax, treasury and commodity and foreign currency risk management.
  • You collaborate and engage effectively with respective corporate centers of expertise (COE), financial controllers and auditors on fiduciary FRM(Financial Risk Management) matters.
  • You support the development and implementation of key FRM policies and procedures. This includes communicating these policies and ensuring a solid FRM control system is in place.

You utilize extensive knowledge of operations and trade settlement principles and practices, review and analyse significant financial transactions to ensure operational risks are identified and mitigated and to ensure compliance with regulatory and market operating standards

  • Master Degree in Financial Management, Finance, Economics or Accounting.
  • 5+ years of working experience in upward finance roles with exposure to trading and processing companies
  • Experience in working in an international and complex environment.
  • Technical knowledge and very good understanding of financial figures, data analysis and mathematical models
  • Good understanding of and commitment to internal control, adherence to company Guiding Principles.
  • Able to influence by means of good financial analysis and advice
  • Flexibility; able to cope with fast changes within a growing company
  • Self-starter; highly motivated, able to work independently and under pressure
  • Teamwork; ability to work in a multi-cultural and cross functional team
