(Senior) Warehouse Manager

As (Senior) Warehouse Manager, you contribute to the professionalization of our organisation within the operation, on-site with our customer. You report directly to the Operations Manager. You are responsible for setting up and organising the logistics process. You manage 2-5 Supervisors directly and 60-75 employees indirectly. You ensure that all operational KPI`s are achieved and you report the operational progress to your manager and to the on-site customer.

  • Analysis of daily operations and continual optimisation of processes;
  • Reporting and monitoring of productivity, cost and quality,
  • Monitoring day-to-day business (volumes, same-day finishing, batch processing, etc.);
  • As project leader or project participant, you take part in projects for and with the existing customer;
  • Responsibility for capacity planning (human resources, equipment, packaging, etc.);
  • Implementing process improvements and changes; primary focus is quality and productivity
  • Optimising assembly and warehouse structure;
  • Contributing input for the IT setup (warehouse structure, processes, layout, etc.);
  • Responsibility for quality (handling, picking, booking, etc.);
  • Attending of quality audits;
  • Implementation of new processes and new business, and projects;
  • Responsibility for training operational staff;
  • Responsibility for performance evaluations of operational staff;
  • Security and safety in the workplace;
  • Pro-actively signalling risks and opportunities and responding to these appropriately.
  • Reporting out performance to the customer via structural presentations and review meetings
  • Ability to back-up your peer colleague in the position of Production Manager.

  • Relevant education to at least Higher Professional Education (HBO) level;
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in contract logistics environment;
  • Experience in managing and co-ordinating a logistics/manufacturing operation;
  • Experience in management reports;
  • Experience in implementing, defining and improving logistics-manufacturing processes;
  • Excellent business-level oral and written knowledge of Dutch and English;
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and experience with ERP systems and SAP;
  • Good knowledge of ISO 9001.
